gricker.eu helps you find European and open-source alternatives to the mainstream — usually US — tools you use every day. It supports digital sovereignty, data privacy, and local innovation.

The directory is curated with the help of the European and open-source community. We draw on a set of trusted catalogs and directories, surface the real tools, and group them by what they replace. Each listing records a short description, a category, and the catalogs it appears in — so the communities doing the hard work of curation get the credit.

A note on scope

We currently list European-made tools — the EU plus the EEA/EFTA (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland), the UK and the Western Balkans. Open-source projects are included when they’re European; for now we don’t list non-European tools even if they’re open-source.
